Description
This is Gunner.
Unfortunately his owner died.
He has been returned to me as per breeding contract.
I have had Gunner for 8 weeks and in that time I have found him to be a funny, confident, loving character.
I have taken him to dog training classes and a couple of dog shows. I have also taken him whippet racing and he is coming along nicely.
I dont think he mixed much previously but I have been really pleased with his behavior.
He was bought up as an only dog but seems to really enjoy being part of a pack. I would ideally like a home with another athletic dog for him to run with. He loves free running in the fields and woods with my pack of whippets and cocker spaniels.
On his first night with me he made a fuss when I left him downstairs as he was used to sleeping with his Mum. I gave him one night on my bed, he never moved but I prefer not to share my bed. He has slept downstairs since with a little persuasion initially but soon adjusted.
He has a fabulous temperament, he's still very much a baby and so loving.
He's totally clean indoors and has shown no inclination to chew.
He eats really well, I have been using a slow feeder because he gobbles his food.
He has a fabulous pedigree full of champions.
He is great with people, children and other dogs
He has a great recall.
No problems travelling in the car and sleeps on the sofa. He wasn't crate trained but will now happily go in to eat, and waits patiently until I let him out.
He's had a bit too much of his own way in the past but he listens and is very trainable.
He has a clear heart certificate from a cardiologist.
I would love to keep this boy but he is related to all of my girls.
