Description
This is the part of breeding which is really tough. We lose kittens over the rainbow bridge, we part with each kitten after 14 long weeks, sending them off to their forever homes with love. But we also have to part with our retired breeding cats. It’s an essential process, to enable a continuation of breeding. We would keep them all if we could, but not only is space a problem, but we also couldn’t give them all the love and attention each one needs and deserves. So with a heavy heart, we look for only the very best homes, for them to enjoy a forever pet home life ❤️
We are selective when it comes to kittens homes, but even more selective when considering homes for our adults with already established personalities and needs/ preferences.
In addition, we also have a few rules for new families to accept, without exception:
- their names must be kept.
- Indoor only homes; absolutely no free roaming.
- We are a raw feeding breeding cattery and this is something we want to maintain. If this is a problem, we can discuss suitable alternatives, but we won’t accept any dry food.
- Maintained contact; because these cats have been an integral part of our lives for 4-5 years, or even longer!… they really do mean a lot to us and parting with them is heartbreaking. We don’t require constant contact, only occasionally, so we can enjoy seeing them live their best lives.
We do have a number of cats available, as we’ve held off homing cats over the last year plus, given various situations at home, including moving house, which has been delayed month after month, as well as a long term health concern.
But as we near our final move date, we’re now needing to find them homes. Although you may have a preference as to who you want, we will always access your details, living arrangements and routine and from there, propose the best fit 🐆❤️
We have a couple of pairs, who are looking to find homes together, due to being well bonded. If you’d like to home a pair, please let us know! 🐆🐆
As responsible breeders, who home our retired breeding cats with a specific contract, which doubles as a health guarantee. This formalises the sale and also provides a safeguarding framework for the cat(s) in question.
When enquiring, please include answers to these questions:
1- experience &/or knowledge of the breed?
2- other pets at home?
3- who’s at home & weekly routine? - primarily to highlight time the cat would be left at home alone
4- expectations with taking on a new bengal?
5- what diet will you be providing?
