The Siberian Husky, as its name suggests, originates from Eastern Siberia, where it was used by the Chukchi as a sled dog. Known for its tremendous stamina and good looks, the Siberian Husky is a very popular choice as both a family and companion dog. They are athletic, alert, and enjoy being with other huskies rather than being alone. The Siberian Husky is not the best choice for first time owners, but in the right hands and with people who are familiar with the breed and therefore know how to train and handle them, they thrive in a home environment, making them a good choice as a family dog.
