The Sealyham Terrier, also known as Welsh Border Terrier, Cowley Terrier, is an adorable little dog, but sadly their numbers have declined to the point where they have been placed on the Kennel Club"s endangered native breeds list. They are short legged and long in body and originated in Wales where they were created by crossing Bull Terriers with West Highlands, Welsh Corgies, Dandie Dinmonts and Wire Fox Terriers. Sealies were bred to hunt, but they are also known to make wonderful companions and family pets thanks to their loyal and affectionate nature. However, if you would like to share your home with one Sealyham Terrier, you will need to register your interest with breeders to be eligible.
