Meet Safe Space Canines

I’m Amelia, Me & my partner have spent our lives rescuing dogs from all over the world, I’m partnered with Buddy for life dog rescue in Tamworth and Cakis dog rescue in Bosnia. I own Safe Space Canines, situated in Cumbria where we live just outside of the Lake District. We’re currently home to a Corso x Ridgeback, Jagd Terrier, Jack-chi & A tabby cat - Minx. We’ve dedicated our whole lives to dogs, walking, boarding, training & rescuing there’s not a part of the industry we haven’t tried and a breed we haven’t experienced although mixed breeds are a favourite. I’ve picked dogs up from baiting rings, thrown to the street, from kill shelters and dog catchers…places worse than you could comprehend. When we look for family pets, we keep it seperated from our work for example fosters will be socialised on pack walks with our dogs but hardly see our home and live in the fosters home whilst we do keep an eye on them. We only usually bring work home when it’s an emergency or welfare issue. We are active, often book hire fields and love exploring parts of the lake. We don’t plan on children, have a quiet home with not many visitors at all. Our plan moving forward is another family pet, a couch potato like a bulldog for example that will join us in watching tv or chilling while we work. Our favourite outings are to pet & farm shops we purchase natural chews and have great relationships with companies like BullyBillows for example. We only want what’s best for our dogs and I will always put them first, they will have a full belly and full heart even if I had nothing. The rescue business really puts a lot of things into perspective and there’s nothing we can’t handle. I’ve shared on my profile some of the dogs we’ve rescued. Amelia & Byron 💜
