Description
Beautiful Golden & Blue Golden British Shorthair & Longhair Kittens - GCCF Registered Cattery of Run by Practising Veterinarian Dr Alice Briggs
Proud breeder of famous viral cat Biscuit - @ourcatbiscuit
We are delighted to welcome two stunning litters from our carefully planned pairings Daisy × Poison and Poppy × Pyro.
These kittens are expected to grow into beautiful cats with plush coats, vivid green eyes and classic teddy-bear expressions, and previous kittens from these lines have developed into affectionate, people-focused companions and lap cats, who love being close to their owners.
If you are looking for a healthy, well-socialised kitten with a gentle, affectionate temperament and classic British Shorthair type and charm, these babies may be exactly what you are hoping to find.
Photos of previous kittens from these pairings are available so you can see how beautifully they mature.
💚 Temperament & Lap Cat Companions
Temperament is just as important as health in our breeding programme. Our cats are carefully selected not only for their structure and coat quality, but also for their gentle, affectionate and people-orientated personalities.
Through both carefully selected bloodlines and intentional early handling, many of our kittens grow into extremely loving companions who enjoy being close to their owners and happily curl up on laps.
Many families who have kittens from these lines comment on how affectionate and people-focused their cats become as adults, reflecting both the temperament of the bloodlines and the way the kittens are raised during their early development.
Our goal is not simply to produce beautiful kittens, but loving companions who become a cherished part of their family’s daily life.
🐾 About the Breeder
This cattery is run by Dr Alice Briggs, practising veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) with an MSc Masters in Animal Behaviour and a degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVMSci).
Alongside my clinical veterinary work, I run a carefully managed and health-focused breeding programme specialising in Golden and Blue Golden British Shorthair and British Longhair cats, known for their beautiful green eyes, plush coats and classic teddy-bear expressions.
My aim is to combine responsible breeding practices, behavioural science and careful genetic selection to produce kittens with excellent health, correct structure and outstanding temperaments.
🧬 Health & Breeding Standards
Health and disease prevention are central to my breeding programme.
Our breeding cats undergo extensive health screening, including testing for important hereditary conditions affecting the breed such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
The cattery is maintained under strict biosecurity protocols, and we operate a closed breeding programme, meaning our stud cats are not offered for public stud and outside cats are only introduced following the same extensive health testing.
This helps maintain a carefully managed disease-controlled environment, free from common feline viruses including Feline Calicivirus (FCV) and Feline Coronavirus (FCoV).
Our breeding programme also incorporates high-quality bloodlines imported from internationally recognised breeding programmes, helping maintain excellent genetics, temperament and breed type.

💚 Early Socialisation & Development
From birth, kittens are raised with intentional daily handling and positive human interaction, helping them develop confidence and strong bonds with people.

• Familiar with normal household sounds and activity
• Litter trained and scratch-post trained
• Confident, affectionate and people-orientated
We also provide guidance to new owners on how to continue positive handling and bonding once the kitten arrives home, helping many families successfully raise the affectionate lap-cat companions they were hoping for.
