Luna & Habanero

Description

Luna and Habanero are beautiful brother-and-sister cats who turned two on 23 July. They are ½ Ragdoll, ¼ Maine Coon and ¼ tabby, with gorgeous long coats, enormous fluffy tails and very distinct personalities. They are extremely affectionate, loving and cuddly cats and very much part of our family. They love being around people, will follow their humans around the house and seek out affection and company. They have always lived together, and I am looking for a wonderful permanent home for them together. The reason I am rehoming them is that our circumstances and home are no longer the right fit for them. We live in a central Cambridge flat and, as they’ve grown up, they’ve become increasingly interested in being outdoors and exploring — Luna in particular. I’ve realised that I can’t give them the kind of safe, regular outdoor access that I would like them to have long-term. My work commitments are also increasing, so after a great deal of thought I’ve decided to look for a home that can offer them more of the space and outdoor life they enjoy. This is a very reluctant decision and there is no urgency to rehome them. They are much loved, and I will keep them for as long as necessary to find the right home. Luna is intelligent, curious, adventurous and incredibly affectionate. She can be a little cautious with new people initially, but once she trusts someone she forms very strong bonds. She loves following her people around, cuddling up with them and being close to whatever is going on. She’s also a confident explorer who loves climbing and investigating her surroundings. Habanero is a big, handsome, wonderfully affectionate boy. He’s very loving and cuddly, sociable and playful, and enjoys interactive games, boxes and tunnels. He loves being involved in family life and has a funny, expressive personality. He can be very enthusiastic when he plays but is also a very sweet and loving companion. Both cats are neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped and have been very well cared for. They are accustomed to living in a family home with teenagers and currently live indoors with access to a secure balcony. I am particularly hoping to find them a loving home with a safe garden away from busy roads, where, after an appropriate settling-in period, they can have regular outdoor access and ideally a cat flap. They are being rehomed together and will not be separated. Their veterinary information will be provided and their microchip registrations transferred to their new owners.
