It breaks my heart to be writing this, but I’m looking for a loving, suitable home for my beautiful girl, Dixie. Dixie was born on 5th November 2021 and is a much-loved part of our family. She’s my first dog, and this decision has not been made lightly. Due to changes in our family circumstances, she’s had a few different living arrangements over the years, and I desperately want to find her a stable, forever home where she can settle and be loved. Dixie is a lovely little dog, but she does have some behavioural difficulties around young children. Because of this, she needs a home without young children, with an owner who understands dachshunds and is willing to give her the time, patience and support she needs. She’s carrying a little extra weight at the moment and would benefit from a healthy diet, portion control and regular walks to help her get back to a healthy weight. She is currently getting walked a lot and on a healthy strict diet. This is not a decision I’ve made because I don’t love her. Quite the opposite. I want to make sure she’s in an environment where she can feel safe, comfortable and happy for the rest of her life. I’m looking for a responsible, loving home that will put her needs first. Finding the right home is far more important to me than finding a home quickly. Please message me with some information about your home, experience with dogs and the sort of life you could offer Dixie.
