Description

Blue is 6 years old, and loved very much, but due to moving abroad we regretfully need to find a loving, experienced forever home for him. Pros: •He is very loving and snuggly •He is very talkative and can say lots of words, phrases, and tunes •He will come when called •He likes to play with you •He likes to hang out on your shoulder all day •He likes to go to bed at 7pm and is happy to return to his cage around this time •Although he is bonded to 1 person he is still happy to hang out with other members of the family (including our dog) •He is not scared of anyone •He likes to shout at the neighbours cats •He loves chatting with the sparrows and can make some of their noises now •He always eats his veggies •He is not particularly cage agressive Cons: •He can be a bit nippy and he doesn't care who he bites. He has bitten a baby, and my elderly Nan, and he will happily do it again •If you're not paying attention he will bite little holes in the shoulders of your shirts •He poops everywhere •He throws food on the floor •He can be very noisey! Sometimes it's difficult to work out what his problem is •He hates being in his cage during the day, he will bite the bars and sometimes bruise his beak if I have to keep him in there for a while •He has started to hang out on the floor with our dog, which terrifies me as he could get stepped on, also I'm aware not all dogs are as placid as ours, so this could be dangerous in another home •He hangs out on top of doors, so you have to constantly check when closing them He has a small cage that he can come with as this is the one he is used to, but it's absolutely not good for long term use if he will be spending longer periods of time in a cage. We use it only for keeping chop and water, somewhere to keep him safe if doors and windows are open, and as a sleep cage. He also has a bird light, so sometimes he goes in there to sunbathe, but the door is always open. We are not moving for a while, but I would like to see that he is happy and settled before we leave. Also I'm happy to be available for any questions that can help his new owner :)
