Description
It is with a very heavy heart that I am exploring a carefully considered rehoming for Benny, my beautiful 5.5-month-old miniature dachshund. This is not a decision I am taking lightly, and my absolute priority is finding him the right, permanent home where he will thrive.
Benny is a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent puppy who forms strong bonds with his person. He has a playful, curious nature and absolutely loves socialising with other dogs of all breeds. He attends daycare and is always excited to go, happily rushing in to see his dog and human friends.
He is fully toilet trained, healthy, and has no health issues. He is up to date with his vaccinations, flea and worming treatments, and is microchipped.
Benny is good on the lead and enjoys his walks. He can also be trusted off lead; however, as he is still a young puppy, his recall is a work in progress, particularly when he is excited to play with other dogs. He will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training as he matures.
He is still very much in his adolescent phase, so he will need a patient and committed owner who understands dachshunds or is prepared to continue his training, routine, and development. He would be best suited to a home where someone is around for much of the day, as he thrives on companionship and being part of daily life.
This decision comes purely from recognising that he would benefit from a home better suited to his long-term needs and routine. He is a wonderful dog and deserves a consistent, loving environment where he can continue to grow into a confident adult.
Benny will only be rehomed to a loving, responsible home. I am in no rush and will prioritise finding the right match.
A rehoming fee applies to ensure serious enquiries only.
