Hi all, unfortunately we have made the hardest decision to have to rehome our dog. Hugo.
Through no fault of his own, we have to let him go to a new but forever home. He’s a loving and soppy dog who laps up all the attention he could possibly get. He loves to play, he would play all day! He loves cuddles! And if you let him on the bed he’ll love cuddles in bed! We got him from 7m old and knew nothing with basic commands. He now has learnt the basics, as well as a few extras. He’s very food motivated, and with the right people he will learn endless tricks!
The reason for having to rehome him is, we simply are not capable of giving him everything he deserves and needs. With personal circumstances changing, I’m no longer able to walk him often at all, he hardly gets the attention he needs or deserves anymore, I’ve become increasingly tried with my situation (willing to provide information privately for more understanding), and my husband, on top of having a disability and back issues, has been picking up my slack whilst looking after me too. Meaning Hugo doesn’t get the play time, time, attention or walks he needs and wants.
It truly breaks my heart to have to write this post, but this is the last resort after trying to find someone we know to rehome him.
We would like him to go to a home where he’ll have a friend preferably, he loves to play! Another bigger dog like him would be great! He’s amazing with kids! He adores them! We would take him on school pick ups with us, and the kids loved to be around him and he laps up the love from them, the more the merrier the way he is! A family home would be the ideal place for him! Endless play time and attention! I would love to keep in touch with the new owners to see how he’s doing and have semi regular updates on him as long as possible. He’s good with cats, though our cats don’t want to play with him no matter how much he tries to show them he wants to play. (Our cats are just moody)
Price is purely so we know he will go to a home that actually wants him and won’t use him for anything bad!
He will come with absolutely everything he has. Raised feeding station (slow drink bowl and slow feeder bowl), a bed we bought him for his birthday less than a year old, a raised bed that can be used for outside, all his toys (teddies, kong toys, rope toys and balls), leads/collars/harness/head-collar, any food left over (he’s on butchers cans and mixed dry food and also LOVES bones which we have too) as well as any treats left over too. I’m sure I’m missing a couple things out.
He’s intact still and is proven (only the once, we wanted to let him have one litter in his life at least). Proof can be provided if interested.
You’re more than welcome to videos and pictures on request. And more than welcome to come visit to see for yourself what an amazing dog he is.
The price is negotiable to the right people, as we value where he will be going to.
We would let him go to a good home for free, but with so many ill intent people out there, we would rather not risk him going somewhere he would be abused. Plus with him being intact, should you wish to breed him, you would make the money back for him quickly.
