Description

Missy is our family dog, we have had her for around 4.5 years and she will be 6 jan 2027. It has taken me over 12 months to be able to make the decision to find her a new home When we first had missy she was golden so gentle and friendly, but as she has gotten older she had become more protective of family and myself especially, I wouldn't say she is aggressive but she also isn't friendly when new people turn up so she has to be separated, she has also developed a nervous occasional nip when our younger children go to fuss her, she doesn't bite but she snaps her head around and I can't take the risk of that happening to our 2 year old. It's such a shame because with me she is golden, listens to commands stays by my side never does anything wrong when she is with only me She really needs to go to either an older male or a couple without kids and ideally some experience of the breed as they are very stubborn dogs, she has been around other dogs and she seems to be fine although I would say a home with no other pets The new owner will probably need to make several visits to get her used to you and be confident with her, I will be very fussy who she goes to so please don't call if you can't accommodate her needs She loves walks and just being with you but she can be left alone for short periods without being destructive Missy has a big skin tag hanging on her chin which the vets have told us it's nothing to worry about
