It is with very heavy hearts that we are looking for a wonderful new home for our beautiful 11-week-old male Russian Blue kitten, born on 25 June. We welcomed him into our family only a week ago and have completely fallen in love with him. Unfortunately, one of our children has developed a cat allergy, so despite how heartbreaking this is, we are unable to keep him. He is an exceptionally sweet, playful and affectionate little kitten. He loves cuddles, enjoys being around people and has been raised in a family home with children. He is confident, curious, litter-trained and accustomed to using a scratching post. He currently eats Bozita cat food. He came from a home breeder whose litter was born to their own Russian Blue family cats. When we collected him, we saw the adult cats ourselves—the breeder had one male and four females, all Russian Blues—and we were shown his parents. The breeder was not registered with a cat-fancy organisation, however, so he is unregistered and does not come with pedigree papers. He has been wormed, and we are arranging his first vaccination on 12 September. The new owner will receive details and records of all treatments. We are also happy to include the new equipment and supplies we purchased for him, including his litter tray, scratching post, Bozita kitten food and Breeder's Choice paper litter pellets. We also still have the blanket with his mother’s smell, which he likes to sleep on. Russian Blues are sometimes described as lower-allergen, and although I am normally allergic to cats, I have not reacted to him. However, no cat is completely hypoallergenic, so anyone with allergies should spend time with him before making a commitment. We are looking for a kind, responsible and permanent home where he will receive plenty of love, attention and appropriate veterinary care.
