It is with a very heavy heart that I am looking for a loving and suitable retirement home for my beautiful Maine Coon girl, Lilo. Lilo’s happiness and best interests are ultimately the reason I am having to make this difficult decision. Lilo will be 2 years old next month and is a gorgeous black silver mackerel torbie and white Maine Coon originally from Poland. She is Polish, TICA registered with 5 generations certificate (now non active) and microchipped currently up to date with vaccinations and flea and wormer has had Laboklin health testing and is microchipped. She has taken time and effort to integrate into my household, and because I truly want what is best for her moving forward, I feel that finding the right home where she can properly settle and receive plenty of love and attention would be in her best interests. 🩺 Her Health & History developed pyometra and underwent an ovariohysterectomy. She has recovered well and is now healthy and is continuing to heal and grow cut hair back ❤️ Lilo’s Personality Lilo is a quiet and independent girl who enjoys affection on her own terms. She likes to come to you when she wants attention and is perfectly happy simply sitting and watching the world go by. She absolutely loves her food and will sometimes enjoy engaging with toys — although, of course, everything is on her terms! 😂 She is a beautiful girl with her own personality and would be best suited to a calm and relaxed home where she can have plenty of time, love and attention. She is used to children and other animals, and I would consider a home with other suitable pets. However, as she moves into her retirement, I feel a peaceful environment where she can settle down and simply enjoy being a much-loved pet would suit her best. 🏡 Her Ideal Home I would personally prefer for Lilo to be kept as an indoor cat, as her safety is extremely important to me. However, she absolutely enjoys spending time in a secure catio and also enjoys supervised time in the garden. Therefore, a secure catio or safe, supervised outdoor access would be a lovely bonus for her, but she should not be allowed to roam freely outdoors. Whether her new home is with a family, couple or individual, the most important thing is that she is surrounded by love, patience and care.
