Description
We are seeking exceptionally loving and suitable new homes for two of our retired female Ragdolls. As GCCF‑registered breeders with over eight years of experience in breeding and showing Ragdolls, we made the decision to retire from breeding earlier this year, further information about us can be found on our website www.aristodollragdolls.com.
Rehoming these girls is an extremely difficult and emotional decision, as both were born and raised here and have been cherished members of our family. This advert is for Athena who has become increasingly anxious living within a multi‑cat household and is happiest when receiving calm, focused, one‑to‑one attention, so we feel she will thrive far better in a quieter home environment with less cats ensuring her wellbeing comes first. Athena is a GCCF‑registered seal tortie tabby point mitted Ragdoll. She is a former active breeding queen who is now neutered, fully health‑tested (HCM and PKD clear), and up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worming treatments. She is a sweet‑natured, affectionate girl who enjoys being held, stroked, and close to humans. Athena forms strong bonds with people and has a gentle, loving temperament.
Ragdolls must remain indoor‑only cats, but secure outdoor access is a wonderful enrichment option for them. Athena does enjoy supervised time in our secure, cat‑proofed garden, which she absolutely loves as well as enriching activities indoors and loves to play. Priority will be given to adopters who have a garden and would be willing to cat‑proof it, or who already have a secure outdoor space such as a catio or enclosed garden. Athena would be best suited to a home with no other pets, or potentially a home with one calm, friendly cat or dog, provided introductions are slow, structured, and carefully managed.
Adopters would need experience with cats particularly indoor breeds is highly desirable and should be prepared to offer stability, patience, and dedicated attention.
We are in no rush to rehome Athena and will only proceed once we are confident we have found the most suitable match. This is a thoughtful welfare‑focused process and we are committed to ensuring her next home is her forever home.
Anyone wishing to express interest will be asked to complete a pre‑screening questionnaire. This will be emailed to you and reviewed before any viewing is arranged. This process has been used successfully for all of our kitten owners over the years and helps ensure the best possible match for both cat and adopter.
The pre‑screening questionnaire is designed to help us understand your experience, household setup, lifestyle, and expectations so we can determine whether one of our retired Ragdolls would be well‑matched to your home.
Ragdolls are highly social, people‑oriented cats who require time, interaction, and a stable environment.
Please ensure you have thoroughly researched the Ragdoll breed and fully understand their needs, temperament, and the level of commitment required, plenty of information can be found on our website around the ragdoll breed and meeting their needs.
