Description
Unfortunately we are having to rehome our bonded pair of 2 year old brothers, Prawn and Shrimp, due to ongoing issues in the home, they will only be rehomed together, no exceptions, I will explain more information below.
We got them both in early 2024 and things were going well, they were friends with the other cats in our household, particularly close with our cats Chicken and Sprout, Shrimp had always been closed off, he wasn’t nasty or ever aggressive but he didn’t enjoy human company much, and spent most of his time with either Chicken or Sprout, we lost Chicken in late 2024 and that’s when the issues first started because Shrimp was very bonded to him and with him gone he was even more closed off, and now clung onto Sprout even more, but then we sadly lost Sprout in late 2025 and Shrimp has been struggling massively ever since, the only cat he enjoys the company of now is Prawn, he often hides away a lot and doesn’t play as much, he had been to the vets and it was ruled as a behavioural issue, and we were told it would likely get better but it has only gotten worse, and now him and Prawn are regularly tormenting our other cat for no reason, Prawn is generally happy here, he’s a sweetheart who absolutely loves attention and tripping people up, he’s also very playful and sweet, but they are bonded to eachother so it wouldn’t be fair to rehome Shrimp without Prawn. They would need a child free home with no other pets, they are fairly independent so you don’t need to be home all of the time, but I think Shrimp would struggle with young children or any other animals in the house.
They are both neutered and chipped and fully indoor cats, I don’t think they’d do well outside and would prefer for them to rehomed to another home that will keep them safe indoors.
They will come with their usual food and bowls as well as a blanket for comfort, if you think you’d be able to give them the home they need or want to ask more information please message me.
