Description

🤍 Tuna is looking for his forever home 🤍 This is a really hard post to write because, although Tuna was always supposed to be a foster, we’ve completely fallen in love with him. 🥺 Tuna had a bit of a rough start in life. He was the runt of the litter, struggled with a poorly tummy and then came down with cat flu. After two months of looking after him, nursing him back to health and watching his personality blossom, he’s come such a long way. ❤️ He’s now 18 weeks old, growing by the day and already weighing 2kg! He’s going to be a BIG boy. Personality-wise, he’s an absolute character. He’s incredibly loving, playful and super floppy. You can pretty much do anything with him, and he just goes along with it. He loves attention, has bundles of energy and will absolutely try to bite your toes given the opportunity! 😂 He’s also surprisingly confident. He’s good in a harness, enjoys going outside safely with us and is completely happy going to new places. He hops into our cat pram now and then and takes it all in his stride. 🏡 The home we’re looking for: * An indoor-only home, as this is how we rehome all our foster cats. * Ideally, a home with another friendly cat who enjoys playing and doesn’t mind a kitten who can get a little bitey. * Someone who understands that he’s still a baby and is happy to continue helping him learn and grow. We do want to be completely transparent about one thing. Tuna has been having some accidents on the bed, but these only happen first thing in the morning when I’m still in bed. During the day, he uses his litter tray without any issues. We’ve been managing this by keeping him out of the bedroom when we’re in bed, and we’re continuing to work on it. His new family will need to be patient and understanding while we get to the bottom of this behaviour. He’s also not yet had his first vaccination because of his ongoing illnesses. We’re planning to book this in for next week. If the right home comes along before then, we would need confirmation that his vaccination will be arranged. 💔 So why are we letting him go? As much as we adore him, we have our own cats, we’re moving home and, if we keep Tuna, we won’t be able to continue helping other cats who need fostering. I’ve already had more than my fair share of foster fails, and as hard as it is, sometimes fostering means loving them enough to find them the right home. This really isn’t a decision we’ve made lightly. We want Tuna to have the very best future, with a family who will love his big personality just as much as we do. If you think you could offer this gorgeous boy his forever home, please feel free to message me. ❤️ Please only get in touch if you’re genuinely ready for the commitment of a kitten and everything that comes with it. We want to find him the right home, not just any home. 🐾
