Description

Beautiful Bengal mix kitten. She’s had an ideal upbringing, been allowed out on our safe estate since just over two months. Hidden in bushes, chased butterflies & practiced ambushes from the banks of the local lake. Marielle’s mother, Stephanie, came in from the cold last November, I had been feeding her outside for a while, not sure exactly where she originated. I already had a male Bengal, he mated with her & the kittens were born on the 9th of May. Four in total, two boys & two girls. I am keeping the two boys & have already found a house for one of the girls. The simple condition is that she gets to lead a fulfilling life, that includes going outside regularly & being able to have at least one litter of kittens. If you can happily satisfy these conditions & Marielle seems pretty to you then please do get in contact. I’ve had the best summer helping to raise a litter of kittens with both of their parents, when we go on walks the whole tribe walks as one. It’s quite unusual but just a glimpse of what these incredible animals are able to offer if we adapt a little to their life cycles rather than sterilising them from an early age. Stephanie went in for an op after her first cycle of breast feeding, she had another litter brewing inside her which the vets took away. I think that’s what she wanted, it’s not unusual for her to disappear for several days but she was in the house on the scheduled day of her op. What this means is that her mammary glands have entered a second cycle of milk production. The kittens are now at sixteen weeks & still breastfeed regularly. Second cycle, would have been for the unborn litter. We think Marielle will be ready to go early September, before she starts her life cycles. So, it’s possible to have one litter & manage the rest responsibly. Stephanie is in good health & all the lucky kittens are doing well. We just need to find a loving home for Marielle where she will be allowed to express her individuality in the most natural of ways. Cat behaviour’s a little unsettling at times if you let them breed. I didn’t mean to, it was a serendipity. However, walking round the lake with a family of kittens that I helped to grow up goes down as a top ten life experience.
