Description
We are sadly rehoming our two gorgeous guinea pigs (Hazel and Olive). They have been a much loved part of our family but as my children have become older and have moved to secondary school, etc, they sadly have less time to dedicate to them and we really want them to be in a home that will provide lots of snuggles. They are approx 3.5 years old (they will live up to 7yrs) and have been very healthy with no trips to vet required.
They have generally lived outside in the spring and summer months and inside in the autumn and winter, or at least when the temperature has dropped. They LOVE hay and veggies and will squeak when you're in the fridge (whether you're getting them a carrot or not). Their fave treats are strawberry tops and peppers, which they will munch down speedily.
Neither Hazel or Olive has ever bitten or scratched and are happy to be held and fed on your lap. At various points along the years, they've been dressed up in doll tutus or held up as 'Simba' from the Lion King, so they're used to be handled! Hazel will take a little longer to catch initially we imagine as she's the more skittish of the two but, once comfortable, she is fine and will eat out your hand and enjoy being stroked.
They are 100% a bonded pair and must be rehomed together. We really want these two to be with children or adult guinea pig lovers who will pay them lots of attention and love. It's taken a lot of thought for my children to reach this stage and it's with the best of intentions for the guineas so they'll want to be reassured.
As an aside, our cage is in okay condition and you are welcome to this, if you want. However, it's not perfect so it would be thrown in for free. We do have an outdoor Omlet Eglu too, if interested.
