🌸******************🌸 As you probably know the rescue centres are at capacity. Over worked and over booked so we're desperately searching for a very special person who has experience with dogs, particularly those with reactivity and behavioural challenges. We know we're looking for a needle in a haystack, but I'm holding on to the hope that there's someone out there with the experience, patience and love to give this beautiful girl the home she deserves. We're really desperate for help, so even if you're not in a position to offer her a home yourself, sharing this advert or pointing us in the direction of someone who might be able to help would mean the absolute world to us. ❤️ Meet Yoko 🐾 Yoko is a beautiful Shar Pei x Staffie with the biggest heart, who is looking for a very special person to call her own. This is an incredibly heartbreaking decision, and one that has not been made lightly. Due to a change in family circumstances, we're sadly having to find Yoko a new home. Our biggest priority is finding someone who can give her the love, stability and understanding she deserves. A little about Yoko ❤️ Once Yoko gets to know you, she is the most loving, affectionate and loyal companion. She absolutely adores her people, loves affection and has so much personality. Once you've earned her trust, you've genuinely got a best friend for life (takes her about 2 minutes to warm to someone) However, Yoko hasn't always found the world easy to navigate, and she does have some behavioural challenges that mean she needs a particular kind of home. What you need to know: - Yoko is reactive towards other dogs and must be the only pet in the household. - She has a very high prey drive, so she cannot live with cats or other small animals. - She can be nervous and reactive around unfamiliar people, barking when she's approached by unfamiliar people but once she gets to know you, ultimate best friend. - She is strong, pulls on the lead and can jump up when excited. - She has never bitten a person or another dog, but we recognise that her behaviour needs careful management. - Although she has lived around older children, we're looking for an adults-only home to ensure everyone's safety. Her ideal home 🏡 We're looking for someone with previous experience of reactive dogs who understands what Yoko needs as well as has the skill set to take her on. Ideally, she'd love a quieter environment with a secure garden, no other animals and someone who can give her plenty of love, attention and stability. We're not looking for someone to simply take Yoko off our hands. We're looking for someone who will genuinely understand her, accept her challenges and love her for the wonderful dog she is. She has so much love to give, and with the right person and environment, we believe she could be an incredibly rewarding companion. I know she's been a rewarding companion for me and it will be heart breaking to see her go, but I can no longer offer her what she needs. Yoko is currently based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. But happy to travel anywhere in the Uk for the right home. Finding the right home is far more important to us than finding just any home. We'd love to get to know potential adopters properly and arrange careful introductions before making any decisions.
