Description
They are around 4-5 years old, we aren't exactly sure of their DOB.
The price is £200 because the birds will come with the cage + toys and extra food.
Their names are Tom and Jerry, they were both males when we first got them but throughout the time we've had them they have changed genders, so after that we had changed it to Romeo and Juliet, but once again it seemed like they had swapped genders and i believe they are both males again so we have stuck with Tom and Jerry 😆
I believe they are siblings and have a great bond, we got them as a pair and they have been inseparable, they have bonded with my daughter really well and will fly around and sit on her shoulder and finger aswell as eating out of her hand , along with some other things, me and my son havent spent enough time with them to create a bond as we got them for my daughter specifically.
They are lovely birds and will chirp throughout the day and be quiet through the night. They love listening and chirping to the wild birds outside.
The yellow one ( Jerry ).
The white one ( Tom ).
Alot of the time Tom will sit by the mirror in their cage and sing and dance to himself. Jerry likes sitting on the swing and will occasionally stare at himself in the mirror.
Tom's beak doesnt need occasional trimming as he uses the cuttlebone to keep it nice and short, whereas Jerry does not use it and will need occasional beak trimming, both birds will need their nails cuts occasionally aswell.
A little about their personalities:
Tom : a little skittish and takes him a while to trust someone, he is a lovely bird with awesome dance moves (just him bopping his head and chirping), he relies on Jerry quite a bit and when they are out of the cage and flying around, he will follow Jerry and do what he does.
Jerry : very brave bird once he is comfortable around you, he is willing to sit on your finger and eat out of your hand if and once he trusts you, i would say he is the "Boss" , he usually has full power out of the two birds, he's not as talkative as Tom is and will only chirp if he hears other birds or when hes gossiping with Tom.
They are quite shy with new people and wont be fully comfortable in their new home for a while, please be patient and understanding if you decide to get them.
When we got them they were flourishing and happy, although recently we haven't been able to give them the love and proper care they deserve as i have fount out someone in our household is allergic to them. And they need to be rehomed as soon as possible with someone who will give them the care they deserve.
It has affected us and my daughter had bought a dog which is reactive towards the birds so they are kept away and are almost always in their cage unfortunately.
The cage and food bowls and toys along with some food, will come with them to their new home.
