Description
Due to a heart attack I suffered and the resulting limitations on my strength and physical ability, it is with a heavy heart that I must find a new, good, and loving home for my beloved girls. They must go to the new home together; they grew up together from kittenhood, love each other dearly, and need one another. Both are adults, litter-box trained, and not picky eaters; they eat from separate bowls because Mia (a Maine Coon) eats more slowly, and Savanah tends to finish off Mia's food. Mia is a large Maine Coon; she responds well to her name, likes to follow people around like a dog, and is very affectionate and cuddly—a true lap cat, though that doesn't mean she can't play chase with Savanah. Savanah is a slender cat—she is a Savannah breed; please do not mistake her slim build for neglect, as this is simply their natural physique and doesn't change based on food intake. Savanah is more agile and fast, can jump very high, is curious about everything, investigates every nook and cranny, and comes for cuddles when she gets tired. The cats grew up with three Jack Russell Terriers; their attitude is that as long as no one gets in their way or steals food from their bowls, everything is fine. In short, they don't love the dogs enough to miss them. The cats were not raised with small children, so I do not know how they would react to them; I would not recommend placing them in homes with children under the age of ten. The cats are not spayed; I had planned to breed Maine Coons once Mia was fully mature, but my illness thwarted those plans. As I mentioned, I have to rehome them for health reasons; I’ve already fallen several times because they got underfoot—they simply don’t understand this new situation. Please, only serious and well-considered offers. This is incredibly stressful for both the cats and me. I don’t know how to put a price on my love for these cats, so I simply chose the first figure that came to mind; I intend to donate the proceeds to a shelter for retired greyhounds that I support. If you're a little short of the amount I mentioned but have a loving heart, write to me—let's talk.
