Description

Please read thoroughly. Sorry it’s long. This is Barry, my purebreed Maine Coon. He’s neutered and microchipped, and is 2 years old in May. He is a big boy & still has quite a bit of growing to do! • I absolutely love him. He is so sweet. However, he is called Big Bad Barry for a reason 😂 He previously lived in a busy household of girl cats which he did not get on with. It was confirmed to me that he was fine with male cats however this isn’t true. He terrorises my cats (both male) as well and it’s clear that Barry needs to be an only cat. I have tried my hardest as I love them all but my boys aren’t enjoying their home, and one is covered in scabs from being chased and caught with Barry’s big claws. He chases them, corners them, bites them and does not give in. • Barry is a lovely, confident boy who will walk in anyone’s house as if he owns it. He is very playful and loves interaction/stimulation with toys & treat trays. He is lovely, he loves to be by your side all day & night and will cuddle you. He only really likes to be stroked on the head and doesn’t really enjoy being carried for longer than a minute but he’s friendly in telling you he’s had enough. I’m heartbroken, as an owner & Barry will have the absolute perfect life. He is so lovely laid here with me, he’s an ideal confident affectionate cat. But my other boys were here first as they deserve to love their home and each other as they always did. • Barry is a Maine Coon so should be an indoor cat. Potentially catio but I don’t think he’d enjoy it being his only 24/7 living area as he does like to be with me round the house. • Things to consider: * Barry must be an only cat household. * He should be an indoor cat. Please consider you won’t be able to have all doors and windows open at all times. * He will grow to be a very large boy. * He can act like a proper puppy! * He will love you immediately and will want that in return. * Neutered, microchipped and flea & worm treated. * He was checked by the vet on Feb 20th who said he’s very well looked after, healthy and good heartbeat. His eyes often need a clean but this is usual for a Maine Coon - he’ll mostly likely grow out of it. * He’s fine with children. I would suggest 5+ where they’re aware to leave him be when necessary. • I’m in NO rush. I’m determined to find him the most perfect home so that he doesn’t have to move on again. The situation is manageable for us in the meantime. Serious & well thought about queries only please. • I am asking for an amount of money for Barry - I feel someone will make sure they have the right home for him if they’re paying for him. Anyone can say they have the right home for a free/cheap cat and carelessly take them on. The right person will ensure their home is perfect for Barry’s forever home, finally. Money means nothing to me as I’m heartbroken to be doing this to him, but it’s necessary.
