Description
Hello,
My cat Reggie is looking for a new wonderful family, due to his ongoing conflict with other pets in the household, causing him (and them) significant stress and anxiety.
Reggie is nearly 4. He is neutered, microchipped, treated for worms, ticks and fleas (last dose received in August), his vaccinations are up to date.
He recently had a complimentary health and wellbeing blood tests panel, all came back clear for any diseases. He has a very sensitive tummy, with a suspected chicken allergy, but he does very well on turkey or other protein-based food.
Reggie came to us as a rescue, from Turkey. We don't know his full background, but we do know he was found in the streets with his sister (who sadly didn't make it) and spent a long time under strict vet care there due to feline parvovirus infection. He won the battle with the virus and eventually came to the UK. The streets of Turkey is also where he was badly injured as a kitten, and lost his eye as a result of that injury. He seems completely unbothered by his impairement though and he is generally happy, though he does hate the cold of UK weather and loves a hot water bottle.
To humans, particularly his favourite human, he is the sweetest, most loving boy, who loves following you around and wants to cuddle as much as possible. He takes advantage of an empty lap and frequently hangs out and sleeps with his human bestie, purring loudly.
To my absolute heartbreak, he is not getting along with our other cats, and we've exhausted options to remedy the situation, as it's a recurring issue. He needs a home where he will be either the only animal or he might share with one more (only if the resident pet is of mellow temper and allows him to dominate). He needs a lot of individual affection and attention, likely due to his rough start in life, and our busy home just can't provide it sufficiently :(
He is indoor but would appreciate access to a safe garden if available. But most importantly he will appreciate full undivided attention, which he will repay with undivided love and affection, and loads of purrs and head butts.
I am not in a rush to rehome him - I am waiting for the right home, where he will be loved and cared for the way he needs and deserves.
