Dexter is 23 weeks old and the most incredible boy! He is so loving and loyal! He loves nothing more than cuddling on the sofa and walks! He is such a playful happy boy! Walks great on lead, recall is great 85% of the time but being so young it’s still something we’ve been training and he’s doing great! Full house trained, will go to back door to be let out when needed. Knows basic commands like sit, wait, stay, nicely (when taking a treat), “bed” to get into his crate etc He has had a few sessions at the groomers and does incredible. Dexter is used to someone home most of the day however he is perfect being left in his crate and great at night in his crate also. Unfortunately Dexter does resource guard his food this can be seen by growling and barking if anyone goes near him while he’s eating and has once bitten one of our feet for walking past. He does however sit nicely waiting for his food and doesn’t start eating until you say “go”. Dexter has also started to slightly resource guard toys with our children. Dexter will need a home that can work on his resource guarding as well as giving him a quiet empty space to eat. And currently, a child free home would be best. He absolutely adores children and is so sweet and loving but gets abit confused with “rankings” in the household. He has never resource guarded toys, treats, high value treats and even things he shouldn’t have to adults. He will happily give them up if you ask him. Due to the needs of our children and them not quite understanding what he requires, it breaks our heart to say we have to rehome our sweet boy.
