Description

This is Requiem, he needs a new home as i am moving country and sadly cannot take him with me About Requiem: •he is 8 months old. •His mother is a tiny tabby cat and his father was a short hair black cat • you can see tabby stripes under his black coat when he lays in the sun, they are quite clear in sunlight. • he has short hair • he was neutered in early august • he is microchipped • Up to date on all vaccines and flea/worm treatment • No fleas or worms • No history of health issues • Regular vet checkups since adopting him • He is an indoor cat but would enjoy a safe outdoor play space • litter trained from 1 month old • leash trained, he will carefully walk after you on trips to a park or to the beach • he loves the beach and has a good run around as long as its a closed off sand dune with no dogs nearby. • Very friendly but dont trust his belly- he thinks you are playing with him if you rub it • purs 24/7. Even if you just look at him he starts purring its very sweet • plays alot and needs very regular play time • friendly with other male cats, he would do well with a play pal • Eats at set times for breakfast and dinner (6pm) but as he is a kitten, he may ask for food outside of those times though he is being trained to not ask until it is dinner or breakfast. It can take up to a year (4 more months) to train them manners. • can be held like a baby, he is adapt to having his face, ears, tail, paws, legs stroked to know it is safe for humans to handle him. • Comes to his name when called but may take 1-2 weeks to adjust to your voice. I can show you how to recall train him to your voice. • if you lay down for a nap, he will fall asleep on your chest. Preferences for his new home & owner • apartment or house is fine • indoors or outdoors if not near a busy road. He does not know what cars are and wouldnt know to avoid them so please be careful letting him free roam alone if you decide to. • a balcony or closed back garden would be perfect but he works well in an apartment with some outings to the park and beach • must understand how to handle a cat and recognise his moods. I am happy to teach you if not its quite simple to understand even a short video on cat behaviours will do well • He will be happy with a Lady or man as an owner. He is comfortable living with both. • He is ok around children as long as they know how to properly pet and hold him. Not to drop him after picking him up or try to pet him when he does not want it • Cannot live with a dog Please get in touch if you have any more questions ^-^ - Rain
