Description

This is a very hard post, but we have to give up our much loved 5 year old cockapoo Max after he has shown aggression towards my youngest child. Max is such a loveable boy, and until now has been brilliant with children, we rehomed him 18 months ago after previous owners split and neither could take him. Max is spayed and all vaccinations are up to date and he is microchipped. He is frequently left home by himself whilst we work, and has been left 6 hours, however we usually have a dog walker that comes to walk him when we are at work. Max would be best suited to an adult only home, or with older children who know to give Max space. Max is possessive over items he finds, in which case he knows he has to stay in the garden until he is ready to drop it, as you cannot get items from him. We really want Max to go to a loving home who will understand that he is such a loveable and caring dog, but he is just not well suited to young families like ours. Max is fine with other dogs but tends to ignore them so would best be suited as an only pet. He barks at cats and chases them if they are in the garden, but if they stand their ground he gives them a wide berth. He enjoys sleeping on the sofa. Max is fully housetrained and is excellent on walks, his recall is fairly good. Max is fed a mixture of wet and dry food (Harringtons and Tesco own are currently used), as he can be a bit picky eating just dry food. Max barks a lot when he is excited and wants to play but otherwise is calm. He travels well in a crate in the car and has travelled several hours in the car. Being a cockapoo Max needs a haircut every 8-10 weeks. It is important to us that Max is rehomed appropriately as he is well loved. Please no time wasters, or young children. We are not asking for any money only people that will love and care for our little boy.
