Meet Ted, our gorgeous ginger boy, born 29 September 2022. ❤️ Ted is a large Maine Coon mix — his mum is a Maine Coon and his dad is a mixed breed — and he is an absolutely lovely, big, handsome cat. He is also polydactyl, meaning he has extra toes that look like little thumbs! He has been checked by the vet and this causes him no problems. Ted has a wonderful, gentle temperament. He is used to children and has always been a much-loved member of our family. He is fit, healthy and very well cared for. His vaccinations are fully up to date, including his annual booster in May 2026, and he is flea and worm treated every three months through his veterinary health plan. Ted has always been an outdoor cat and loves having the freedom to go outside. Unfortunately, our family is emigrating and our new circumstances mean that cats cannot be kept as outdoor cats. We don’t feel it would be fair to expect Ted to suddenly live permanently indoors, so we are looking for a loving, suitable home where he can continue to have safe outdoor access. Ted has always been the only cat in our household. We have never tested him with other cats, so although we cannot say that he wouldn’t get along with another cat, we would ideally like him to go to a home where he can be the only cat. We had arranged a home for Ted, but sadly the lady who was going to take him has become unwell and is no longer able to do so. We therefore need to find him the right home within the next 10 days. This is absolutely not a decision we have taken lightly. Ted is a much-loved family pet and we want to make sure he goes to someone who genuinely understands his needs and will give him the love, care and outdoor life he deserves. 🏡 Ideally looking for: * A loving and responsible home * Safe outdoor access * Someone who understands that Ted is a large, active cat * A home where he can ideally be the only cat * Experience with cats would be a bonus Ted is a very special boy and we will be careful about who he goes to. We would much rather wait for the right home than simply find him somewhere quickly. 📍 Based in South Wales.
