Description
Meet Duffy!
We are sadly looking for a new home for our beautiful British Shorthair boy, Duffy. We were really hoping we wouldn’t have to rehome him, as he’s been a much loved part of our family for around a year, but unfortunately we’ve had to make the difficult decision to find him a new home. Because of this, we’re not looking to simply let him go to the first person who enquires finding Duffy a loving, safe and permanent home is really important to us.
Duffy was born on 27 April 2024 and is just over 2 years old. He is a gorgeous British Shorthair with a thick, plush fawn coloured coat and beautiful amber/copper eyes. He’s a lovely solid, chunky boy with the classic round British Shorthair features and an incredibly soft, dense coat.
Personality-wise, Duffy is a quiet, curious and playful little character and a complete creature of comfort. He absolutely loves finding somewhere cosy to settle down and snooze, and he’s very content relaxing around the house.
Although he’s quite independent and isn’t constantly demanding attention, he really does enjoy having his people around him. If you’re spending time in one room, you’ll often find Duffy making his way in and settling somewhere nearby. He finds comfort in being around the people he knows and likes to know what everyone is up to. He’s naturally very curious and loves investigating things around the house, but equally he’s perfectly happy spending hours curled up somewhere comfortable.
He’s generally a very easy cat to have around the home. He isn’t aggressive and has never deliberately scratched or bitten us. He is very clean with his litter tray and has always been an indoor cat.
Duffy is neutered, microchipped and up to date with his vaccinations, with his most recent vaccination completed in July 2026. He is registered with our veterinary practice, and his vaccination record and microchip information will be provided to his new owner. His microchip details can then be transferred into his new owner’s name.
Duffy does not have GCCF or TICA registration/pedigree papers, so he is being rehomed purely as a much loved family pet.
We genuinely wish we didn’t have to let him go. He’s a sweet, funny and beautiful boy who has become part of our everyday lives, so we want to be careful about where he ends up. We’d love for him to go to someone who understands that taking on a cat is a long-term commitment and who can give him a stable, comfortable and loving home.
If you feel you could offer Duffy the right home, please get in touch with a little information about yourself and the home you could offer him. We’re more than happy to answer any questions about Duffy, and please understand that we may ask questions too, simply because we want to make sure we find the right home for him.
I can also include his hooded litter box, a bag of litter, pet carrier backpack, cat food, toys and hairbrush!
