Description
Before reading about our Guinea Pigs, please know that this has been an awful decision to make. My partner is no longer working from home and our dogs have posed a huge threat to the girls and we have come to the decision that we cannot keep them safe anymore and wish for no harm to come to them. We want the girls to go to a loving and safe home.
Please meet Darcy and Daphne, born on February 2024. They are sisters from the same litter. Daphne is lilac and white with red eyes and Darcy is ginger and white - both very fluffy, soft and albeit a little chunky! The girls have always lived together, they don’t fight and are heavily bonded, so they must be re-homed together. The girls have always lived indoors, in their Kavee cage, with fabric bedding, although in the summer they do have a run outside in the grass. In their indoor cage they do use litters trays to mostly go to the toilet in, which we line with a puppy pad and saw dust. Both guinea pigs are used to dogs and do not appear scared by their barking or general noises, they have always been handled and are very tame. They allow us to cut their nails with no issues and bath them, which they have never been phased by. They will only eat guinea pig nuggets (they don’t like the mixed food), hay throughout the day, and greens in the evening - their favourite salad/fruit/veg are spinach, cucumber, apples, dandelions, parsley, carrots, raspberries and most leafy greens. They respond to “pig pig pigs” and will squeak very loudly to interact with you, especially when they hear rustling of food packaging or the fridge door opening. Both girls love their chins and behind their ears being scratched.
We do also have a Kavee 4x2 C&C Cage with Loft & Stand available, to buy separately for (£60), but the girls will come with all of their Kavee bedding, litter trays, beds, toys, bottles, blankets and pop up pen which they go in when they’re being cleaned out.
The price for the guinea pigs is only to ensure they go to a good home, as this is all that we want for them.
We are based in Chepstow, approximately 20 minutes from Newport and Bristol (exactly in between). From the Severn Bridge, it takes 10 minutes to get to us.
