❤️ A very difficult decision – looking for a loving forever home ❤️ This is something I never thought I’d have to write, but unfortunately, we have made the heartbreaking decision to find our beautiful kitten a new forever home. We’ve had the absolute pleasure of having him as part of our family for the last 5 weeks, and in that time he has been thoroughly cared for. He has been microchipped, wormed, treated for fleas, had both of his kitten vaccinations and received a full health check at the vets. He is an extremely loving, affectionate little boy who absolutely adores cuddles, attention and fuss. He has so much personality and is full of life, but he is also a very high-energy kitten who needs an environment where he can properly settle and thrive. We brought him into our family with nothing but the best intentions, but unfortunately, the dynamics of our household just aren’t working for him. We have two autistic children who are also very high-energy, and our home can understandably be quite chaotic and busy. When the children are home, he struggles to settle, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that our family environment isn’t what he needs. This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly, and it certainly isn’t because we don’t love him. Sometimes loving an animal means recognising when you aren’t the right home for them, even when that’s incredibly difficult to accept. I genuinely believe he would flourish in a quieter home, ideally with no young children, where he can have someone’s undivided attention, plenty of affection and all the cuddles and fuss he could ever want. We also want to make this transition as easy and comfortable for him as possible, so we will be including everything we have purchased for him to help him settle into his new home. We want him to have familiar things around him and make the move as smooth and stress-free as we possibly can. As heartbreaking as it is, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. We want him to have the happiest life possible, and deep down we know that life may be somewhere other than our busy family home. We are looking for a genuinely loving, patient and permanent home where he will be cherished as much as he deserves. This is not about finding just any home; it’s about finding the right one.
