Description
we have been put in a heartbreaking position by our housing association. After a housing stock check and a surveyor finding problems with the structure of the house we are being put into emergency temporary accommodation with no time frame of how long we will be in it.
we were offered for them to be put in to kennels but that isn’t fair on them so we have made the decision to find them new homes.
we are hoping they can go together but understand this is a big ask so will allow them to be homed separately if needs be.
Nox (blue and tan) and Nala ( chocolate dapple) are lovely natured and are happiest when they are in amongst the chaos of daily life . we have 6 children aged between 2 years and 18 years so are very used to being around children. they live with cats but are vocal with them .
Nox is 90% potty trained outside and will use a pee mat when down at night or if it’s heavily raining.
Nala is still learning as she’s younger and a little bit more stubborn than Nox but she will go when taken out and uses wee pads during the night.
Both are crate trained and will happily sleep together or separately.
Nox is fully vaccinated and recently had a health check at the vets , his flead and wormed every month as we have a medivet health plan for him.
He does believe his on the husky sled team when out walking but he’s young and still learning. In true dachshund style he is vocal when he sees other dogs but it’s not aggression it’s because he’s so excited to see them and thinks everyone wants to play with him. He is getting better with treat training while out on walks . He’s a lovely cuddly boy when indoors and loves playing with his toys.
Nala hasn’t been vaccinated as of yet. she’s been vet checked and is healthy, she has also been flead and wormed every month. Nala is taken out on walks via a pet sling and is fine watching the world go by. she is a little more reserved when out but is very much Queen bee when indoors. she loves her food and has to be fed separately to Nox as she will steal it and his a push over and lets her
we are looking for homes that have an understanding of Dachshunds as I wouldn’t say Dachshunds are for first time owners. They may be small and cute looking but they pack a punch!
we want them to thrive and be happy.
