π Guinea Pigs Looking for Loving Forever Homes π
It is with a very heavy heart that I am considering finding new, loving homes for my three guinea pigs: Scarlet, Lamb Chop and Honey.
This is not a decision I am taking lightly, as they mean a lot to me. However, I feel that I am no longer able to give them as much time, love and attention as they deserve, and their happiness and welfare must come first.
πΉ Meet the guinea pigs:
* Scarlet (large black and white) β 3 years old. Scarlet can be rehomed individually, provided she will be joining another compatible female guinea pig so that she has the companionship she needs.
* Honey β 2 years old.
* Lamb Chop (fluffy white) β approximately 10 months old.
Honey and Lamb Chop are a bonded pair and must be rehomed together, as I would not want to separate them. Honey and Lamb Chop (named because she resembles a sheep) is very affectionate once they get to know you.
Scarlet is a rescue and was sadly mistreated in her previous home. She is a lovely girl but can be nervous. She enjoys being on your lap munching away at some lovely veg. She doesnβt like being stroked in her enclosure - she gets scared and runs away. However she is easy to pick up for cuddles.
Please note: None of the guinea pigs are neutered, so they must not be housed with unneutered males due to the risk of unwanted pregnancies. Any introductions to other guinea pigs must be carefully considered to ensure compatibility and safety.
π‘ The right home is my priority.
I am looking for kind, responsible and loving owners who understand the care guinea pigs need and will give them a safe, happy and comfortable life.
Ideally, potential owners will have previous guinea pig experience and understand their needs, including appropriate housing, companionship, diet and daily care. I would appreciate knowing a little about your experience with guinea pigs, your current setup and the home you could offer them.
I would ask to see photos of the cage and living setup, or arrange to see it in person, to make sure it is suitably sized and provides enough space for them to live comfortably. Their enclosure must also be positioned away from radiators and direct heat sources, in a safe environment where they will not become overheated.
I am not looking to rehome them quickly or to just anyone. Finding the right home is much more important to me than how quickly they are rehomed. I want to know that they will be well cared for, loved and treated as part of the family.
This is purely a decision based on the time I can realistically give them, and not because of anything they have done wrong. They deserve all the love, care and attention in the world, and I want to make sure they get that.
If you feel you could offer Scarlet, or Honey and Lamb Chop together, a wonderful forever home, please get in touch and tell me a little about yourself, your guinea pig experience and the home you could provide.
Thank you for understanding how important this decision is to me. β€οΈ
