This is one of the hardest posts I've had to write, but I'm looking for a very special home for my beautiful girl, Kingsley. Kingsley is a Maine Coon, turning 2 in November. She doesn't have pedigree papers, but she has had DNA testing confirming her as 100% Maine Coon, along with genetic health testing. This isn't a decision I've made lightly. I want to find Kingsley a home where she can genuinely be happy and where her personality and boundaries will be understood. ️ About Kingsley Kingsley is a lovely girl who has her own little ways of showing affection. She will come up to you, sit beside you and happily make biscuits, and she does enjoy being stroked when she's in the mood. However, she currently doesn't enjoy being picked up and isn't yet a lap cat. I've included a short video of Kingsley making biscuits and happily letting me stroke her, as I want potential owners to see that she absolutely can be affectionate she just has her own boundaries and isn't comfortable being picked up. She will need someone patient who is willing to build her trust and gently work with her on becoming more comfortable with being handled and potentially becoming more of a lap cat over time. She should never be forced into being held or cuddled. Kingsley is also quite selective about who she bonds with. She has bonded with other cats in the past, but she hasn't formed bonds with all of the cats she has lived alongside. Because of this, I feel she would be happiest in a home where she doesn't have to share her space with other pets and can have her person all to herself. She can also occasionally get dry skin on her belly, which comes and goes. This will be fully disclosed to her new owner. The home I'm looking for This is very important: Indoor-only - Kingsley must remain an indoor cat No young children No other pets - I feel she would thrive best as the only pet in the household A calm, quiet household Someone patient who will allow her time to settle and build trust Someone who understands that cats have individual personalities and boundaries Health & information DNA confirmed 100% Maine Coon Genetic health testing completed Microchipped Not vaccinated Not currently spayed Spaying is a strict condition of her sale agreement, and her new owner will be contractually required to have her spayed. I will also require regular updates from her new owner, including photos and videos, so I can see how she is settling in and make sure she is happy and doing well. I know asking for regular updates isn't something everyone will be comfortable with, but Kingsley means a lot to me and I need to know that she has gone to the right person. £650 £100 non-refundable deposit if needed to hold. I am not looking for the quickest home or simply the highest offer. I will be asking questions and getting to know prospective owners before making a decision. If I don't feel that the home is right for her, I will say no. This is incredibly difficult for me, but ultimately Kingsley's happiness has to come first.
