Hello my name is Gilbert Grape,
Back in the summer I was rescued from another home where I was neglected my wings were clipped (an at home job) i couldn't fly and would often bleed and my tail had been ripped out and I was in very bad condition. My rescuers paid whatever the price I was offered for and took me home where they nursed me back to full health. I now have a wonderful set of wings, I can fly and be free and I have no issues with my feathers no more. I have a beautiful long tail I love to preen.
I am very shy, I don't like loud environments and because of the trauma I faced I like to be free around the house to play and fly but I am still very scared of humans after what they did to me, people have tried to build a bond with me and I'm happy to have a little chatter and make noises through the cage but I still am not sure about being handled.
The reason my rescuers are looking for the perfect home for me is because now I am better and all pretty I need the perfect home for me, a quiet environment with no children and some adults who would take the time out the interact and care for me and get me trusting people again. I love to make noises I will make lots of squeaks and happy sounds and I LOVE toys.
I have a cage that I will come with, a nesting bed I sleep on-top of, and all my toys and my rescuers will provide small starter bag of food to ensure you know what I eat. I also love my fruit especially spring greens and orange. All my rescuers ask for is a small fee to ensure I go to an affordable home. Please bear in mind I still am not use to people fully after my ordeal at such a young age, and I would prefer no loud children. My rescuers Iwill need to be assured that I am going to be cared for and loved I like to be on my own in the quiet and I don't tend to associate with the other parrots.
