Mylo is a 13-month-old Belgian Malinois looking for his forever home. This is a very difficult decision, but with two young children and a 2-year-old Collie Cross, we can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. Mylo is a friendly, good-natured boy who is very food-motivated and eager to learn. He would be best suited to an experienced home with knowledge of the Belgian Malinois breed and an understanding of appropriate outlets for their drive and energy, such as bite work, scent work, obedience, tracking, or other working activities. He has previously worked with a professional dog trainer/walker and built a great bond with him. The trainer felt Mylo has plenty of potential and identified impulse control and recall as the main areas that would benefit from continued training and consistency. Mylo already knows several commands and tricks, including sit, paw, spin, middle (between your legs), and down. He is intelligent, eager to work, and enjoys learning. With the right guidance and commitment, he has the potential to excel. Mylo is not neutered. He can be left alone for short periods and is crate trained, although he may occasionally whine in his crate. This has been improving steadily over time. He is an energetic young dog who would thrive with an active owner and a lifestyle that keeps him mentally and physically engaged. Mylo is incredibly loyal and affectionate and loves nothing more than being by his person’s side. He forms strong bonds with his people and truly wants to be someone’s shadow. We are looking for an experienced and committed owner who can provide the structure, training, and stimulation that this wonderful breed needs to thrive.
