Description
Hello, everyone. Please take the time to read through this to fully understand the home that these beautiful babies will need. ❤️
Unfortunately, I need to rehome my two British shorthair cats Kid and Baby Kid. They are mother and daughter, hence the names - with Kid being the mother and Baby Kid being the daughter. I will not separate them, so please do not ask. It’s essential they go to a home together, as they are extremely attached and cry for each other when they’re in separate rooms let alone separate houses. They’re always talking to each other, cuddling and cleaning each other so I think it would be cruel to separate them.
They are fully litter trained, eating wet and dry food - specifics discussed further at a later date.
About Kid
Kid has three legs, as she had to have one of them amputated over 18 months ago due to a bone tumour, but she has adapted really well. She seems to be very happy and healthy since then. She is surprisingly very agile, she can run and jump very high for a cat with three legs - she absolutely loves the cat tree and the sofa.
She also had an emergency c-section when she had kittens, so she has had a rough go at life.
She is now spayed, and is such a sweetheart. She can be timid with new people, but once she gets to know you she is super affectionate - always wanting chin scratches and pets, constantly purring too.
She deserves so much attention and love, but I find myself struggling to do that with my mental health and it’s not fair on her.
About Baby Kid
Baby Kid is similar in the sense she is quite nervous with new people but she is very relaxed with myself and when she is around her mother. She really brings her out of her shell.
That being said, she does like to follow you around and quietly sit next to you for some pets. She enjoys sitting by the bathroom sink and watching when I wash my hands. I think she’s super curious, so I’m sure she would settle nicely in a home with her mum.
Process
I would prefer to arrange a viewing of them if you would like to home them, followed by a subsequent home visit to make sure all is perfect for them. This is essential, as many places who rehome pets do this to ensure the animal’s welfare and quality of life so please bare this in mind before asking.
Please reach out if you think you can provide them both a lovely home. I won’t be giving them to just anyone, especially for birthdays etc as they are not toys.
Thank you for reading. ❤️
