The West Highland White Terrier, also known as Poltalloch Terrier, Roseneath Terrier, Westie, Westy, as they are affectionately known has always been one of the most popular breeds and for good reason. Not only are they cute, but they also have a happy, fun-loving and outgoing nature. In short, they are the perfect choice as a family dog or companion dog. Westies are also one of the most popular breeds in the show ring and have been for decades. They are intelligent little dogs and love to please, which means it is easy to train a Westie, although they are a little stubborn.
