It is with a very heavy heart I am having to write this. I am putting my sweet boy 'Arnold' up for adoption. This is because I have recently moved houses and had to get him a smaller cage & unfortunately he is not coping well.
Arnold is such a friendly boy, I've spent a lot of time gaining his trust. Whenever he hears me he comes out of his hide to say hello. He doesn't like being handled very much (very few hamsters do) but he does like socialising. If you want to pick him up & handle him he will let you, he has never bitten & does just sit there when you're handling him. But he doesn't like it for too long, he prefers it if you stroke him while he's in the cage.
He loves taking treats off me, his wheel, sprays, digging & foraging for food.
He is from a responsible breeder & was quite expensive therefore is a very healthy boy.
As I mentioned he does not come with a cage as he is very stressed in the one he has now.
However I do have lots of accessories for him. Including a wooden 28cm wheel, digging boxs, x2 ceramic hides (one acorn one mushroom), multichamber hide, food & water bowls. Just things like that, i have more, I'll post photos of his accessories later on. If you're interested in purchasing accessories just let me know & we can discuss a price.
Since he is such a sweet boy I want him to go to a kind & experienced owner. He needs a 100x50x50cm cage as this is what he was happy in. Lots of digging space etc. I will only be rehoming him to someone who has done research & has knowledge on ethical hamster care!
