Hello, this is Marley, a 2-year-old working cocker spaniel. He is such a beautiful, loving, kind dog with a cheeky, funny character 😂🙈. We adopted Marley just this week, but sadly I’ve discovered I’m very allergic to him, so we need to find him a new home. This is a really difficult decision, and we want to make sure he goes to someone who will give him the love and time he deserves. From what we know of Marley, he has had lots of adventures and is a lovely family dog. He is great with children and was really good with other dogs in his previous home. If other dogs weren’t so kind to him, he didn’t retaliate and just skittled away. Exercise: He needs about 2 walks a day, or 1 big walk, to wear his energy out. Training: As a working dog, he has done gun dog training and does very well. He knows sit, stay, paw, lie down, jump, spin and middle. He still struggles with heel and pulls on the lead a bit, so he needs regular reminders on walks. He tends to walk well after 10 minutes or so. Energy: Like many dogs, he gets very excited and has lots of zoomies, but we have found he generally settles really well in the house and will curl up at your feet (see photos!). At night: He goes in his bed at night and stays there. He was crate trained from a puppy, so he knows how to behave in a crate. Health: Marley is microchipped but hasn’t been spayed. Marley will come will everything you need. We were very excited to welcome Marley into our home so we have everything, toys, harness, leads, crate, brushes, and about 2 weeks of food.
