I am looking for a very experienced and suitable home for my Czech working-line German Shepherd. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old, so this is an extremely difficult decision and I will not be giving him to just anyone. His welfare is my absolute priority. He is a Czech working-line German Shepherd and needs an active home that understands the breed, their energy levels, drive and training requirements. I am specifically looking for someone with previous experience owning and handling Czech/working-line German Shepherds, rather than someone who simply likes the breed. Home requirements: • Must have a secure garden • An active household that can provide plenty of exercise, training and mental stimulation • Previous experience with Czech/working-line German Shepherds is strongly preferred • Ideally a home with another suitable, well-socialised dog, although this will depend on the individual dog • Someone who understands that working-line GSDs require structure, consistency and ongoing training • A safe, stable and loving home I will be asking questions about your experience and circumstances and will need to visit the home before agreeing to the sale. I want to see where he would be living and make sure it is genuinely suitable, safe and that he will be treated as part of the family. He will come with his crate and remaining food. I also want to be completely transparent about his current needs. He may have some health issues that require further veterinary attention, including a rash around his inner thighs/groin area and possible dental/tooth concerns. These have not yet been fully assessed or treated, so any potential owner must be prepared to have him checked by a vet and take responsibility for any treatment he may require. He has no known ear infection, but he does not like having his ears cleaned and can growl when someone attempts to clean them. This is something an experienced owner should be aware of and handle appropriately. I am not looking for the highest offer or a quick sale. The right home is far more important than the money. Please do not message if you do not have relevant experience with working-line/Czech German Shepherds, do not have a garden, or are simply interested because you like the look of the breed. Recently, I have noticed an increase in nipping/mouthing and “land shark” behaviour, which is more frequent than it was previously. This may be related to his age and adolescence, and his reduced exercise recently may also be contributing. HE IS NOT AGGRESSIVE! He is just a high energy breed that needs fulfilment. He has never bitten anyone nor has he attacked another dog. This is something I want to be completely honest about because he will need an experienced owner who understands young working-line German Shepherd behaviour and is confident with appropriate training and boundaries. He is not a suitable dog for a first-time owner or someone inexperienced with high-drive working breeds. Please note that there will be no refunds or returns because my home is no longer suitable for him and financial reasons I will not be able to provide a refund. No timewasters. Serious enquiries only. I will take my time choosing the right person and reserve the right to decline a sale if I do not feel the home is suitable.
