I’ve ever had to make, but I’m looking for a loving new home for my nearly 1 and half year-old female Dachshund Winnie She is a lovely, affectionate little dog who enjoys being around people and deserves someone who has the time and patience to help her reach her full potential. I want to be completely honest about her needs so she finds the right home. She is not fully house trained, despite trying everything I can think of. She has also had two seasons and is not currently spayed. She barks at things she sees or hears outside and can pull on the lead when out walking. She needs an experienced owner who can give her consistent, one-to-one training and has plenty of time to work with her. Unfortunately, due to my circumstances, I can no longer give her the time and attention she needs, and I want to do what’s best for her. This is an incredibly difficult decision, so I will only consider homes where she’ll be loved, cared for, and treated as part of the family. I won’t let her go to just anyone. Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs

Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please

Fun-loving and playful by nature

Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own

Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints

They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise

The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
