Otis is looking for a new home through absolutely no fault of his own. This has been a really difficult decision for us, and we just want the very best for him.
He’s a genuinely lovely dog with so much love to give. Definitely has an attitude (typical dachshund). Otis can be a little anxious when meeting new people, so he needs someone patient who will give him the time and space to build trust. But once you’re “his person,” that’s it. He’s affectionate, playful, and loves being around the people he trusts.
He’s also great around other dogs and enjoys their company, which makes him a really good fit for homes with other friendly dogs or for owners who like getting out on walks where he can socialise.
Otis would suit a calmer home where he can feel safe and settled, ideally with owners who understand that some dogs just need a bit of time to come out of their shell. In return, you’ll get a dog who absolutely adores you and will stick by your side through anything.
We’re in no rush, finding the right home is far more important than a quick one.
