with a heavy heart we have made the hard decision to rehome our two green cheek conures. they must stay together as they are a bonded pair and will come with everything including their large cage with lots of toys, perches etc inside and their food (they are on hagen tropican pellets) nova is a suncheek which is a rare mutation (i paid £500 for her alone). i handreared her myself so she is very comfortable with human interaction and is good with kids of all ages, she is still a baby (around 9 months old now) so she does nibble but the bites don’t hurt she is more just chewing but you have to set boundaries and not allow her to chew to prevent this. she is okay with being flipped on her back and stroked, picked up etc and she has been outside on a harness but we stopped when it got abit to warm outside so not sure how she would react to a harness now. she has learned how to say ‘charlie’ and regularly says it, she has also said ‘nova’ but we have only heard it a few times. charlie is a pineapple conure and is abit older than nova (around 5yrs old) and is the more timid one out of the two. she doesn’t really like to be picked up as much and can be nippy as she gets it overwhelmed with being handles and can have a strong bite so be careful when handling her. she loves to dance though and enjoys being spoken to and sitting on your head or shoulder rather than being stroked or fussed. she says ‘charlie’ and ‘kiss kiss’ and a few other words but we haven’t figured out what they are as there pretty muffled and hard to understand. i am looking for an experienced bird owner or one who has done a lot of research on green cheeks as i want them to go to the best home possible and stay in one place for the rest of their lives. they are a joy to have around and will certainly make you laugh, they enjoy baths and music a lot. please feel free to message for any questions or photos/videos price is way under what i paid for everything included as the cage was £250 alone but i will consider sensible offers. we are not 200% sure on gender but am pretty sure both female
