Description
This is a very difficult decision, but I am looking for a loving new home for my 16-month-old female Goldendoodle.
She was raised alongside a male Goldendoodle and was often overshadowed, which has resulted in her being very submissive and sensitive by nature. She can be unsure in new situations and may seek reassurance from her person, sometimes lowering herself or hesitating until she feels safe. This is not fear-based or aggressive behavior — she is exceptionally gentle and kind, and responds best to calm handling, soft voices, and positive reinforcement. With patience and one-on-one attention, she has every ability to grow in confidence.
Because of her sensitive temperament, she would be best suited to a quiet, low-pressure home with someone who can spend a lot of time with her each day — ideally a home-based worker or retired person/couple. She needs consistency, kindness, and time to build trust.
She enjoys going for walks at her own pace and loves car journeys, settling well and travelling calmly. She isn’t particularly interested in fetch, but she is a true snuggle companion and loves affection and closeness.
She has not been spayed and has had two seasons, with her third heat expected around June. Any potential home should be prepared for this and able to manage her responsibly.
This decision has been made with her wellbeing at heart, and finding the right home is far more important than rushing the process.
