I have a 12/13 year old female cat named Issy. Unfortunately I’m looking to rehome her as she’s recently became aggressive with my 3 year old son. Shes always been a bit funny with him but she’s getting worse. Recently she has scratched him on his arm when he was gently trying to pet her. She will not let him in any room she is in, as soon as he steps foot in the same room she is hissing at him. He’s is really scared of her! He will not go upstairs on his own to use the bathroom as he’s worried she will scratch him whilst passing on the stairs. I have cared for Issy for 4 years so it’s really upsetting to have to rehome her but unfortunately it’s for the benefit of my son so he feels comfortable in his own home. She is very much on her own terms, will come to you if she wants pet. Seems to only be on a night time when my little boy is in bed in his room she will come into our bedroom for a stroke but that is it. She’s not a social cat, she’s very picky who she lets pet her. She spends her time upstairs in the bedroom or she may adventure outside for a little bit but she is mainly an indoor cat.
