Description
Dug is a 2 year old, ragdoll mix indoor cat. Loving, a little bit skittish, but gets on well with our other cat and dog. He is very affectionate once hes warmed up to you but is a big eater so cant be left to "graze" with food - there will be none left to graze on, he just keeps eating. I rescued Dug when he was a kitten, flea ridden, poorly with worms and with a moderate case of gingivitis. He has grown into a beautiful and proud cat, still lacks confidence but loves a cuddle and will absolutely be the first one to soak it up when you offer it. The reason for his rehoming: No major issues - but I am currently 7 months pregnant and he has taken to consistently messing by my front door. This has never before been an issue with him and I have tried everything from tin foil covering, cling flim covering, adding an additional litter box, covering the area with multiple items, deterrent spray and so on - and he continues to mess. This may seem like a small issue to be rehoming an animal for, but being pregnant, I am struggling now to be able to thoroughly clean the area and have spent over a hundred £ on cleaning supplies, cleaner rentals, deterrents, recarpeting and so on. This is now at the point it poses a health risk to me and to my baby. As much as I love him, he is becoming too difficult for me to maintain in the house and I feel like he would be better suited to someone that can dote on him - unfortunately i don't have the capacity to do this. And he absolutely deserves it. Hes a wonderful cat - its just more than I can cope with on my own. Price is aimed at ensuring a decent home. If you cannot afford to buy a cat, you cant afford to maintain a cat. His vaccinations, flea and worming are up to date (I pay the Vets4Pets monthly subscription to get his flea, worming and vaccines included).
