Information about the rats -
They are 4 adorable female rats bought from Pets 4 Home in June 2025 - they are perfectly healthy. Never been to a vets. All have different personalities -
Cheeky - the thin grey one - totally adorable and my favourite. Playful. Can pick her up and play with her. Very inquisitive. Amazing companion.
Streaky - the fattest grey one. Very playful. Loves building nests. Loves cardboard and paper. She can sometimes bite when picking up or hand in the cage (cleaning)
Banksy - the large black and white one. Playful but also very quiet at times. Loves hiding away in tunnels. Quite shy and doesn't always like being picked up - however she will come to you and climb on you when she wants to.
Pixie - the smallest black and white one. Very very shy. And doesn't naturally warm to humans. Will often nip and run away. But will come and climb on you if you stay still. She is still very playful with the others and a good companion for them.
All together they make a great team and look after each other and entertain each other very well.
They are currently in a good home - we have a whole room dedicated for them and they spend 2-5 hours out of the cage every day.
They have been fed with a good mixed diet of shunamite mix and vegetables.
They do need a lot of looking after - cage cleaning and emptying littler tray - they are little trained - so they do their poos in the pink little tray in the corner of the cage.
They get deep cleaned once a week and spot cleaned every day.
We are a small family - mum / dad / daughter. Dad is writing this and love these little critters, however mum doesn't and is struggling with the smell and interactions with the rats. My daughter also loves them but has been nipped a couple of times because she is a bit to excitable around them.
I would recommend these to someone who has experience of rats already. Maybe wanting to add them to a current family? I wouldn't recommend to a first time rat owner as they need a bit of work and looking after.
I have priced to include everything - but willing to sell things separately if prices are right. Preferable is that someone takes the whole bundle.
I will miss them and wish them to go to a good home and have a happy life together for as long as they can.
