Description
It is with a heavy heart that we are considering letting go of our 7yo Cockapoo. He is a great boy and this is no fault of his own. Chester is like most cockerpoos, overly friendly, extremely good with kids (we have 3 younger children which he’s grown up with) and other animals (he enjoys group walks and happy at our dog boarder with their cats) doesn’t chase livestock, squirrels, birds etc.
No problems with fireworks.
Listens to voice commands, sit, paw, stay, wait, bed etc Fully house trained to a T. (Happy to be left for reasonable lengths of time)
Excellent off lead and doesn’t run off or stray far and has excellent recall. Although on lead very attentive and excited so pulls (would need a strong hand- maybe with some more training and time this could be worked on). We are simply over stretched with both our businesses to be able to give him the loving attention he thrives on and deserves. He would suit a new home with routine and plenty of time for cuddles and attention. (Not suitable for elderly frail person) Would be happy with a family with older children we just don’t want to swap his current situation with much of the same so possibly a mature person/couple that are looking for a dog to join them on long walks and lazy mornings on the sofa. He loves being groomed and fussed over (bathing and showering not an issue will stand happily) of which he will need to be done due to matting of his curly coat.
If you think your family would be a good match please get in touch we will wait for the right home and he will not be given without home checks etc.
