Here is Skittles. An absolute bundle of energy and character.
He is the one of the left on pic no. 2 and 3
Birthday is just an estimate. I know he is about 3 years old.
When I went to get Skittles, I was told he was a she but there was no paperwork so I think it was only guessed.
My other conure is dna tested female and the behaviour 'he' has towards her makes me quite sure 'he' is indeed a he. He is so desperate for birdie company, and she just isn't interested in the slightest, doesn't even like him that close, only tolerates it.
Skittles has had many cage mates even of different species and has got on with all of them, not even fighting over the food bowl.
I know he would be happier with more playful mates or a proper girlfriend which is the reason I am considering finding a better home. I cannot take on more sadly.
So any homes considering him must be experienced with birds, have other sociable birds in the home who will (in time of course) be likely to befriend him, and a home where you will let him out plenty each day.
He now eats a good variety of food and his recall around the house is really good!
He knows his treat perch. Is used to a backpack carrier for walks. He learns new things really quick!
He needs lots of chewing toys as he has a lot of energy. A very healthy boy indeed!
I'm not taking this lightly and will only go to the right situation.
